Ruscombe Hall is the largest single house at Cannington Grange, accomodating 10 people in the comfortable and spacious manner you would expect of such an impressive Victorian Country House.
Built in 1865 as the main family residence for the Ruscombe-Poole family, it has remained in almost continuous family use for 150 years.
It has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment that has seen a complex redecoration, new kitchen and either new or refurbished bathrooms.
Visitor feedback for the first season has been excellent and we are taking advance bookings of up to 2 years ahead!
Simply arriving at the 10ft arched doorway tells you to expect something special.
Once inside, the massive hallway, with its sweeping stairway, impressive stone fireplace and french oak block flooring sets the scene.
From the hallway, take the door into the main sitting room (), with floor to ceiling south and south-west facing windows its a very bright and comfortable room - the windows retain their original shutters so in the evening, with the huge open fire lit, it has a lovely warm and cosy feel.
Seating is for 10 on comfortable sofa's and chairs.
From the sitting room, a peculiar window-door takes you into the adjacent conservatory, which in turn has double doors leading to the patio and garden.
